Synchro, Swim, and Summer Fun(draising)!
6:00 - 10:00pm, this Saturday, July 22 at the pool It's here, our annually re-imagined Summer Swim Extravaganza. This year's edition will include some crazy swim events and challenge races. All eyes will be on our five Synchronized Swimming Events choreographed and coached by our very own Annmarie Rodrigues. She has devised some incredibly entertaining routines for our girls, boys, men, women, and lifeguards. You don't want to miss this. Social media will not do it justice... The men, women, and lifeguards will also be competing in a rather unique way. The synchro teams have challenged each other to raise the most money. The winning team will be granted the privilege of starring in the synchro finale. Make your preference known Saturday and pledge a donation to one of the teams! Signups for the races start at 6:00. Fun, crazy, zany, races start at 6:30 followed by the synchro show at 7:00. Then we'll roll into Family Night at the pool under the lights 'till 10. And whether you want to compete... or pledge some dough to a synchro team... or challenge someone to a pool duel... or drop some cash in the hat... or just hang out with your pool friends... ...we hope you'll come join us for a fun evening. Just bring some food or drinks to share and we'll provide the entertainment. If you value what the swim club brings to the Blackridge community, please come to and/or contribute to this fundraiser! Would you like to donate, but can't make it Saturday night? You can donate online or send a check to: Blackridge Swim Club P.O. Box 17102 Pittsburgh, PA 15235 This event is going to be a blast. We also need it to be financially successful. Come have some fun with us while we raise some dough in the most entertaining way possible! Final Home Swim Meet on Thursday Where: At the pool When: 6:30pm Thursday, July 20 Why: Dinner and a Swim Meet Who: Everyone's Welcome! The Blackridge Barracudas are 5-1 for the season, losing only to Edgewood last week in a narrow 100-105 loss. At the previous meet Brynna Luedde broke the Girls Open 50 Freestyle record long held by Carrie McCann. What a team and what a season! So walk on down to the pool at 6:30pm this Thursday for the final meet vs our neighborhood rivals Forest Hills where we'll recognize our seniors and give nicknames to all our swimmers. Grab some legendary Cecconi kabobs or a "walking" taco at the concessions stand, cheer on the home team, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Barracudas summer. Note: The pool will be closing at 5pm on Thursday to prepare for the meet. -- Follow us on Twitter Like us on Facebook http://www.blackridgeswimclub.org
