 Tomorrow's a big day for the BSC. The Barracudas swim in the Division II Championships in the morning. Then, to round out the day, at 6:00 pm is our...Synchro Show and Potluck Party!

Synchro teams are practicing and we're gearing up for a big potluck party this Saturday, starting at 6pm. As a reminder, what exactly is this said party? Good question! It's a... ...bunch of folks getting together for food, swimming, and fun. ...chance to make like a Barracuda, jump off the blocks, and see if you can beat your sibling/parent/buddy. ...shameless fundraising request to help meet our $3000 goal. ...fun way to celebrate the summer swim season with friends. ...opportunity to see/swim a synchronized swimming routine. Despite our highest hopes and best preparations, the weather tonight will, at best, be soggy. Our synchro groups deserve a better environment to showcase their talents.
So, the Synchro Show Potluck Party and Family Night will be postponed until next Saturday, July 29, still starting at 6:00 pm. Again, there is no Synchro Show and no Family Night Swim tonight. We're hoping for better weather next week. It will be the perfect way to celebrate the swim team's success next week in the championship meet! :) If you're still looking to get a dip in the pool, look for our RainedOut updates throughout the day for pool opening info. Saturday Synchro Show Preparations As you can see, the boys synchro team was hard at work yesterday practicing for their big debut on Saturday. Are you intrigued by the possibility of being on a synchro team? It's fun. It's unique. It's a once-in-a-lifetime-experience. If so, email Annmarie, and she'll give you all the info. 6:00 - 10:00pm, this Saturday, July 22 at the pool It's here, our annually re-imagined Summer Swim Extravaganza. This year's edition will include some crazy swim events and challenge races. All eyes will be on our five Synchronized Swimming Events choreographed and coached by our very own Annmarie Rodrigues. She has devised some incredibly entertaining routines for our girls, boys, men, women, and lifeguards. You don't want to miss this. Social media will not do it justice... The men, women, and lifeguards will also be competing in a rather unique way. The synchro teams have challenged each other to raise the most money. The winning team will be granted the privilege of starring in the synchro finale. Make your preference known Saturday and pledge a donation to one of the teams! Signups for the races start at 6:00. Fun, crazy, zany, races start at 6:30 followed by the synchro show at 7:00. Then we'll roll into Family Night at the pool under the lights 'till 10. At our last meet Brynna Luedde broke the Girls Open 50 Freestyle record long held by Carrie McCann. The records are dropping and the Barracudas keep winning! Come on down to the pool at 6:30pm today and hope for good weather! Our third annual Rent Party/Synchro/Swim Meet will be next Saturday, July 22 at 6:00pm followed immediately by our Family Night Swim from 8 - 10pm. Remember the Rent Parties of your collegiate youth? Think of it that way - only with lots of kids. We're not shy: this is a purely mercenarial event. We're passing the hat, staging swim races, and "floating" other ways to raise money. Annmarie, our pool manager, and resident synchronized swimming expert, is working hard to prepare an...entertaining set of synchro events starring our swim team kids and some adventurous adults. We're planning to make it a blast, and we hope you'll come join the fun. More details to come! There's still plenty of time left in the summer to enjoy the BSC and join the pool, so tell your friends and spend time together at the pool! Swim Lessons The second session of 8 swim lessons is about to start on Monday, July 10. Just like last time, the lessons will be 30 minutes long at 11:30 am, Monday through Thursday (makeup on Friday) for two weeks. $40 for members and $80 for non-members (tell your friends!). In order for the lessons to be run well, you must sign up to participate. Sign up at the guard station or email [email protected]. Again, you must sign up ahead of time to participate, so please let us know if you're interested! Sponsors The BSC is proud of our sponsors.
