Looking for ways to give back to your pool community or want to help improve the pool? Join the Blackridge Swim Club Board of Directors! Meetings are help once a month, in person and virtually, and last only 60-90 minutes.  Listed below are the positions that are open. If interested, please email  [email protected] with your name, contact information, and position of interest.

Vice President – 

• Assists the president and steps in if board members are unavailable.
• Oversees committees (fundraising, events, membership) and supports board members as needed.
• Serves as a liaison between board and pool staff as needed
• Picks up mail from the PO box and distributes as necessary.
• Helps coordinate special projects and initiatives.

Fundraising Chair – 

• Develops and oversees fundraising strategies and events.
• Leads sponsorship and donation outreach.
• Coordinates the annual basket raffle/potluck dinner, and other fundraising events.
• Works with the treasurer to track fundraising goals and financials.

Facilities & Maintenance Chair – (2 person position)

• Oversees maintenance and repairs of the pool and facilities.
• Coordinates with contractors and staff for upkeep.
• Ensures safety and health compliance (inspections, equipment checks).
• Works with the treasurer on budgeting for facility needs.

Events & Programming Chair – 

• Plans and organizes community events (theme nights, parties, swim team activities).
• Works with the fundraising committee to integrate events with fundraising efforts.
• Coordinates with swim team coaches for scheduling and support.
• Engages with members to encourage participation.

Swim Team Representatives – 

• Serve as the liaisons between the board and the swim team coaches.
• Help organize swim meets, team events, and registrations.
• Work with the treasurer to ensure team fees are managed.

Communications & IT Chair –

• Manages social media, newsletters, website updates, and general member communications.
• Oversees the pool’s IT needs, including membership databases, sign-in systems, and technical troubleshooting.
• Creates promotional materials for membership drives and events.
• Works with fundraising and events chairs for marketing outreach.

Rentals Coordinator –  
• Manages pool rentals, including scheduling and maintaining the rental calendar.
• Coordinates with lifeguards to ensure proper staffing for private events.
• Communicates with renters regarding policies, fees, and logistics.
• Ensures rental agreements and payments are properly recorded.



Payroll – 

• Processes payroll for staff, including lifeguards and other employees.
• Ensures payroll taxes and necessary deductions are handled appropriately.
• Works with the treasurer to ensure accurate financial tracking of payroll expenses.

How Much: $40 a child for members, $80 a child for non members
Why: To help children learn basic swim skills to be safer and more confident in the water!

Pool Cover Party, Spring 2021 - This is the one cleanup activity that absolutely requires numbers, so if you can be there, please do!  

Yes, it snowed this week.  Yes it's still April.  And it's been a long time since we've removed the pool cover!  The 2021 pool season is going to happen and we're excited to get the pool up and running.  

Join 20 of your favorite pool friends this Saturday, April 24 at 9:30 am to get the pool cover off the pool.  We need to get the pool drained, cleaned, and filled to make sure the water is crystal clear before Memorial Day weekend.  

We'll need at least 20 folks for about 30 minutes to help remove the cover.  This will happen rain or shine! 

So, bring a mask, bring a friend, and bring thoughts of summer fun at the Blackridge Swim Club!

Join BSC pool families and friends of all ages for a spooktacular evening this Saturday, October 26th from 6:30 to 10pm at the BCA Clubhouse. 

RSVP is a must - [email protected] 

The BCA clubhouse will be transformed into a Halloween Dance Party, with a guest DJ, prizes for best costumes, apple bobbing and halloween games, and witches brew punch. (Grown-ups, wear your costumes, too!)

Pizza and snacks will be provided. $5/person or $15/family.
Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible person.

It's simple! Donate stuff, buy stuff, help us sell stuff, hang out with us! Any questions, see below.

1. FALL FLEA is Saturday, October 19th from 7am to 1pm at the BCA Clubhouse
2. Tell everyone about it and tell them to tell everyone about it
3. Donate household items, clothes, books, crafts, etc. Donations can be dropped off Thursday the 17th, between 7:30pm and 9pm and Friday the 18th, between 8pm and 11pm
4. Shop the Flea Market on Saturday
5. Partake in the Bloody Mary Bar, or, for a small fee, enjoy a coffee and a donut, or a hotdog and some chips

While the Fall Flea financially benefits the pool, events like this also strengthen our community and the relationships within. We hope you join us in whatever way you can - donate, sell, buy, set-up, or just stop by and visit us. We'd love to see you!
