Treasure Sale The Blackridge Treasure Sale was a huge success this weekend, pulling in over $1000 for the pool! Many folks found hidden gems among the donated items. Thank you to all who donated! Stoeckleins Bakery provided some tasty donuts to the delight of the morning shoppers. A huge thank-you goes out to Kate Hanna and "Kate's Crew" (you know who you are). They put together an amazing event! 
Blackridge's Got Talent! The show is shaping up. We've got some great piano acts lined up, a few dance acts, and a little magic in the works. But somethings missing...we need YOU! When: 7pm, October 14 Where: BCA Clubhouse Why: For fun! We've got room for 20 acts and they're filling up. Can you play the piano? Can you dance? Do you do magic tricks? Sing? Gymnastics? We'd like to see your act! If you'd like to perform your prepared act at the talent show, email Maria ([email protected]) soon! Let her know what your act is and we'll put it in the program. Bring a snack to share. Admission for folks not performing in the show $5/person or $15 max/family.  There are a lot of great things for sale this Saturday at the Blackridge Treasure Sale!
We will have coffee and donuts for the early birds and hot dogs for sale for the sleepy heads. You can still drop off donations tonight, 6pm - 8pm at the BCA Clubhouse. Looking for any bags or boxes, as well as folks willing to help out at the actual sale, this Saturday 7am - 2pm. We're specifically looking for folks who could spend two to four hours at the actual sale. Visit with pool friends, get to know neighbors, and help out! Can't come until later? We will be boxing up unsold items starting at 1:30pm to donate and we need lots of hands. Any questions: Call Kate at 412-708-5444. It seems like eons ago! It was a great way to wrap up Summer 2017 at the pool.
And it was a great summer! We had lots of fun events, great members, an awesome swim team, and wonderful memories to last us through the off season. Another positive is that we ended the summer financially sound, thanks to some very generous folks. Yes, we made it to our $3000 summer fundraising goal! In a summer when a number of other local swim clubs closed their doors we are very thankful for the BSC and look forward to great summers at the pool for years to come. Coming up soon... Multi-Family Treasure Chest Sale Do you have hidden treasures in your house that you'd be willing to donate to the pool? We'll take anything! You may think it's worthless, but it might be priceless to someone else. Anything you're willing to part with can be dropped off at the BCA Clubhouse in the evening, 6-8pm on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (9/20-22). Last night we enjoyed watching Inside Out under the stars. Some even braved it from the pool itself! A big thanks to the Cavanaugh family for helping make the movie viewing possible. :)

Pool Cover Party II Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, at 6pm to help put the winter cover back on the pool. We need at least 20 folks for only 30 minutes, so please come if you are able!
