What a great weekend to cap off an outstanding summer at the Blackridge Swim Club!
The weather was beautiful. Our lifeguarding team led by Annmarie kept things safe, clean, and running well. Our Barracudas swim team brought home a second consecutive 6-1 season, plus three new team records. And most importantly we have over 100 incredible members, many of them new, which is really the strength of our pool. If the BSC has been important part of your summer, and you have the means, we need your help! We had a number of one time expenses this summer (pump repair, electrical work, higher payroll due to great weather), and we need $1000 to get us through the next two weeks to wrap things up. If you can, email [email protected] and let us know how you can help this week, or donate online here. Night at the Races: This Saturday! Another great (and fun!) way to help both the pool and the BCA is to attend Night at the Races, this Saturday, September 10. Doors open at 5:00pm for dinner, Racing starts at 6:30 sharp! If you are planning on going, but have not yet bought a ticket, email Dirk ([email protected]) so he can get an accurate count for food. And, if you can help set up on Friday at 6:30pm at the BCA, that would be great too! Finally, if you want one last look at the pool...Pool Cover "Party" tonight, Tuesday, 6pm. We need to replace the cover to protect the pool over the winter. We need 20 folks to make this work well, so if you can come, please do! Should take no more than 30 minutes. Any thoughts about how this season went? What we did well? How we could be a better "backyard pool" for you? Email [email protected] or fill out the member survey you should have received by email. Again, thanks for a great season. Hope to see you this Saturday at Night at the Races! Stay tuned for other off-season events and get togethers to connect with your BSC friends.

I wish I was near the location of the event. My summer has been completely boring so far. I have been doing my work half of the day and study for the other half. I wish I can also go to the pool and enjoy the breeze of the wind. I hope that there would be more events like these in closer places to where I live. I wish you guys would have fun and hope to see pictures of the event.
