The Heat Continues

It's Thursday and the heat wave continues.  It's a great time to stop on down to the pool and get cool.  

For new and returning members alike:  Now is a perfect time to tell your friends about the best-kept summer secret in the area.  Hang out with them at our very own professionally-managed and volunteer-driven "Backyard Pool".  

First Family Swim Night this Saturday

• Saturday from 8 pm to 10 pm.
• $10/family (to compensate the guards).
• Come and swim under the lights!
• BYO Snacks and have fun.  :)

Rain Rain Go Away
With the summer heat comes summer storms.  Here's how we deal with nasty weather at the pool (from our pool rules):  

Rain policy:  Any time there is thunder and lightning, the pool and deck must be cleared for safety reasons.

The pool will remain evacuated until no thunder is heard or lightning is seen for 20 minutes.

• If it is raining without a hint of stopping at 2 pm, the pool will close.
• If it is clear at 4 pm, the pool will then reopen.
• If it is still raining at 4 pm, the pool will remain closed.
• If it has cleared by 6 pm, the pool will then reopen.
• If it has not cleared by 6 pm, the pool will remain closed for the evening.
• If the temperature is unseasonably cool, the pool will be closed.

Yes, it's detailed, but we've found it has worked well.
